Today I take a break from business for my “Healthy Lifestyle” post, and share my Top 10 Tips on how to stay on track with your health and weight goals.

I think anyone who works from home can relate.  There’s no scheduled breaks and lunches to eat.  It’s pretty much a free-for-all and it takes huge discipline to keep to 3 meals and snacks a day.  But, it can be done.

I struggled SO MUCH in the beginning! Somehow “dessert” became something that was acceptable after lunch.  The amount of dark chocolate bars I consumed in the first year is embarrassing.  Another problem I have is, I LOVE FOOD.  I seriously could eat all day and am hungry all the time.  I work out pretty much to eat. Yeah, to look and feel good too, but it’s mostly about the food.

  2. You know, it’s funny – I have problems eating on days that I work from home too, but my issues are a bit different. I typically pick up breakfast after dropping off my kids, but then get so wrapped up in work that I don’t eat the rest of the day…only to end up starving at 11pm at night after the kids are in bed, house cleaned up, etc. I actually find the days that I work in an office I stay more on track and I’m not scavenging for food at midnight. LOL.

    Oh, and I enjoy long romantic walks to the fridge everyday. 🙂

    1. Haha, oh my goodness, I don’t think I could go that long without eating. My body likes food way way too much 🙂 You are busy girl!!

  3. I struggled in a different way than you. My problem is I couldn’t leave my work to eat, so would skip meals throughout the day. I can’t do that now because i’m pregnant. To help I set a timer for 25min. take a 5 minute break and after four 25min. sessions I take a 30 minute break. Works beautifully and I am finding I get more done.

    1. That’s a total different look on it! I can see that for sure! My 9-5 was insanely busy, and I didn’t hardly eat there. I like the way you make time for the breaks. Good idea!
