In today’s video blog I talk about how your excuses are holding you back from your success, and how to handle the excuses you will get from others.
We all battle resistance daily. It’s so easy to convince yourself “why” you can’t do something. This can be in all areas of your life. Why you don’t have time to exercise that day, why you can’t make time to eat healthy, why you can’t sit down and tackle that book you want to start, why you can’t make that phone call, or give that presentation……Each time you hear an excuse like that run through your mind write it down. Take a look at your list at the end of the day, how does it make you feel? You need to erase these excuses from your life in order to move into the life you long for. The more power we give to these “excuses” the more power we are taking away from ourselves.
If you aren’t satisfied with where you are in your personal life, or in your business, it’s time to understand that the only one who can change your circumstances is you, and that the changes you need to make are easy!!
In the video I also talk about the excuses you will face from others as you build your work-from-home business, and ways you can get around those excuses. When it comes to other people’s excuses, you really need to start to understand where those excuses come from. Become a listener, and provide value where needed, and you will be met with way less resistance in business.
We were made to be stronger than anything we can create in our minds, and even if you don’t end up with the result you wanted once you do put aside an excuse and tackle a goal, the empowerment you get from taking charge and being stronger than your excuse is worth it!
So starting today, NO MORE EXCUSES! Remember that quote you see everywhere nowadays, “A year from now you will wish you had started TODAY”. 🙂
In the video I say that 95% of people give up after the first ‘No’. It’s actually after 4 ‘No’s’. The breakdown is as follows:
44% will give up after the first No.
22% give up after the second No.
14% give up after the third No.
15% give up after the fouth No.
And guess what? 60% of customers say “No” four times before they make a purchase! So most people give up right before they will succeed! Stand out and be part of the 5% that will persevere and be around for that fifth “No”, which will likely be a “YES!” 🙂
